From the 'Cabinet de Curiosités'

So the dealer wrote me back and said the piece was 1,600 Euros, so sadly I am unable to acquire this fantastic piece. He did go on to further explain that the rarity and the interest is that the " Oeil Anatomique" is both one piece and several pieces when it's dismantled like a puzzle.

That kind of objet is typical of learned " Cabinet de Curiosités" at the turn of the 19th and 20th century when the interest for sciences and human sciences in particular was at a peak.

circa 1870-1880
9" H x 5 1/2" W
